When I was just 21 years old, life threw a curveball at me. I found myself in a hospital bed, recovering from surgery to remove a tumor above my left knee and a bursa from the same knee. The recovery was long, slow and painful. Six months later and I was still questioning every step I took. Coming from a highly competitive background in Taekwon-Do, this period was a revelation. It highlighted a significant gap in the fitness world – a missing bridge between rehab and performance.

This experience stuck with me for years and became a driving force behind the creation of Adaptive Strength. It was more than just overcoming a personal challenge; it was about filling a void I had personally experienced. The journey from my hospital bed to full recovery illuminated the need for a program that didn’t just bridge the gap but also strengthened that bridge. This realization was the catalyst for the birth of our Rehab & Fitness program at Adaptive Strength.

In our program, we do not see injuries as setbacks but as an opportunity to fix weakest links, build resilience and come back stronger than before. Our coaches and exercise physiologists excel in bridging the gap between recovery and peak performance. They understand that recovery isn’t just about getting back to where you were pre-injury; it’s about setting and achieving new, ambitious goals while ensuring your body’s long-term well-being.
