This is a Functional Fitness Game Changer!

In my late teens and early 20s I competed in Taekwon-Do at both a State and National level.

It is amazing how time flies. This is over 20yrs ago now.

Back then my training routine consisted of doing around 1000 kicks a day… 5 days a week… on top of all the other skills training I was doing.

I would estimate that during my Taekwon-Do career I would have knocked up in excess of over 1 million kicks.

As you can probably imagine my body pulled up stiff and sore most of the time… especially my legs and glutes.

At the time, I was lucky a Remedial Massage Therapist had just joined our Taekwon-Do Academy. She mentioned she might be able to help.

Remember this was 20yrs ago when massage was not as main stream as it is today. But I thought let’s give it a go.

I could not believe how it felt… both painful and amazing. My legs and glutes were so tight. They were always tight, I did not even realise how tight they were.

As a test and part of the assessment process, my massage therapist got me to do a few stretches like front splits, side splits before the massage.

To my amazement after the massage when she asked me to retest, I could easily do the splits. I feel loose and free in my muscles and joints.

I was sold… I felt great!

I decided right then and there to make massage a regular part of my recovery routine. From that point on, I would get a massage every 2 weeks.

I was kicking faster… kicking higher… and all with less effort. Overall my training felt so much better.

If I felt any niggles or strains coming on I would get that area massaged. If I had any areas of tightness I would get that area massage. My massage therapist would always change the treatment to how I felt.

Receiving a massage regularly, really helped in injury prevention. It would help get on top of things before it got worse. It kept me training at my best.

Throughout my years of experiencing first hand all of the benefits of a regular massage I become a firm believer that this is a must for anyone serious about their body, health and fitness. I believed in it so much that in 2010 I studied massage therapy and in 2011 opened a little clinic in Safety Bay.

I am still a firm believer to this day. That is why we introduced Remedial Massage Therapy as a core services here at Adaptive Strength.

When you incorporating Remedial Massage Treatments into your fitness routine it becomes a complete functional fitness game changer.

If you are serious about getting the most from your training, then massage might be the secret weapon you are missing! All designed to Rest, Recovery, Release & Restore your muscles.

Let’s face it… Every day is game day!

The best athletes know this… And you should too…

Repeated exercise can cause your fascia to get gunked up (micro tearing, scare tissue, tendinosis) and that makes it harder for muscles to contract and slide past each other easily.

Massage helps by loosening up fascia fibres so the muscles can do what they’re supposed to do – contract harder and more explosively with much less effort. And then, bingo!

Your workouts get a nice boost!! And so does your PB!

Our goal is to help people to recover (prehab & rehab), move better, become stronger and significantly improve performance.

This really is a Fitness Game Changer!!

So, if you are serious about boosting your workouts and getting the results you want, then book a massage today.

We even have membership options available so you can get all the benefits from a massage with a discounted membership price.
